Welcome to Neo Luna where you can enjoy the breathtaking lunar landscape views and gaze at the stars unhindered from the comfort of our soon to be lunar base!

Launch 1 - Module 1 - Landing Platform & RTE Craft
Biggest task in this launch was assembly in space of unfolding the payload into a proper landing stand platform. Benifit is that later craft can use their primary engine for the decent to the Moon and dock with this platform rather than relying on a secondard engine or pure RCS which limit the scale of craft that can land at the platform.
Comes equiped with a Return To Earth Craft in case of colony emergancies.
Hopefully I don't break it...

Neo Luna continues to expand as additional modules make their way to the surface and an exploration rover for remote scouting of the nearby creators. Almost ready for guests to arrive!

Launch 2 - Multiple Modules
- Green House Module
- Electronics Module
- Power Module
- Rover
- Sky Crane (minus extension rod... to be delivered next mission).

Basically one large rocket and multiple modules allows for fuel efficiency, once in LLO each module was dropped to the surface 1 by 1. The Green House and Electronics Module came down in tandum and then split on the surface to connect on eather side of the Power Module.

With this latest launch Neo Luna is ready for guests to arrive, a lot of much needed gear arrived in this shippment, so get your wades of $10,000,000 each ready for a week vacation on the moon.

This meets Foothold & Here to Stay minimum requirements (because I sent a green house in the first launch rather then the main habitate... which yes looks like a larger green house).

*Note - RCS were a bit buggy and two were "lost" for no apparent reason (glitch during fairing/docking), but they were not mission critical so carried on without them.

Launch 3 - 5 Minutes to the moon, 45 minutes unpacking along the way...
- Habitate Module with Telecommunications Tower
- Air Lock Module
- Tourism Rover 1 & 2 (for day trips along the surface for VIP guests)
- Sky Crane (converted into an additional solar radio tower)
- Additional Larger Space Craft

How much stuff can you stuff into an oversized fairing... that much stuff. And what do you do with the Stuff that doesn't fit? More Fairlings.

Launch pad, yeah it looks strange but it works...
20220724192118_1.jpg

Large Fairing had to be ejected while the craft used RCS to fly backwards to avoid "issues"

HLO Mid-Unpacking, yes things ARE getting hectic out there!

So according to one of the first guinea pigs guests, Timmy the 9 year old who covered the inside of the ferry craft with vomit declared "The Moon is Boring" so for the last launch some entertainment was sent!

LAUNCH 4 - I'm never attempting to deorbit from minimum safe orbit again with just RCS...
- TWO state of the art lunar skifts, designed to cruise along the lunar suface at high speed for guest enjoyment.
- One alien statue to be explored on space walks in the nearby creator.

BluePrint - No so much unpacking this time as there are only 3 items in the payload.

Picospace Industries was contracted for this launch having experiance in very low orbits.

Reached Space No Problem, still plenty of gas in the tank for LEO.

Upper stage is the transfer to LLO and VLLO
20220803204621_1.jpg

Here is where 0.5 Staging would of been useful... those center engines are now deadweight... mean someone should make a mod for that or something ;)
20220803204633_1.jpg

LLO... still a bit of gas in the transfer stage so its going to be used.
20220803204850_1.jpg

VLLO - Okay time to unpack...

First up the statue... with RCS... that was stupid... but it worked and I managed to place him in the closest crater.

Up Next one of the VLLO Lunar skifts needs to go to the Neo Luna, once detached gave the upper stage a helping hand go sub-orbital before transitioning to Leo Neo. Having an engine and RCS made this a lot easier than the Alien Statue with just RCS.

But WAIT there is MORE! Second Lunar Skift does a close fly-by each orbit of the moon to check in!
This is as low as it can go without clipping higher terrain (with enough wiggle room to account for game varience in such very low orbits).

Give you guys an idea how insane I was trying to build this base from VLLO…

Neo Luna Missions were all about trying crazy things each launch... landing that "Alien Statue" from VLLO with just RCS thrusters was a real challenge!
Wish I had recorded THAT!
