Hi everyone! It's time for the first collaboration project of this year!

I was planning to do another collab project for some time, and i think enough time has passed since the last one, so here we are :)

This time, theres a twist however, we're abandoning safety and ease of LEO, to venture out into space, specifically to our closest celestial neighbour, the Moon.

Our job is to create a surface base on the Moon, a big one that is, the bigger the better. The base will be located in one of the flat areas, im not sure yet which to pick so the choice will probably be random.

As always, im calling you out to send your modules, spacecrafts, or whatever you want to be a part of the project, to this thread (preferably using sharing links). I will then send whatever you make to the Moon, the more people submit, the bigger the colony!

At the end of the project, when submissions stop coming or when lag becomes too big, the quicksave will be shared for you to enjoy.

To submit your blueprint, follow these steps:

1. Give a name to the blueprint, i have to be able to catalog it clearly so i know which submission is which.

2. If it's complicated or if it has a launch vehicle included (which i highly recommend to do), give a condensed explanation on how to use it.

3. Post some pictures, i obviously need to see what you submitted.

4. Dont forget to put a sharing link or blueprint file below.

As for what is and isn't allowed:

- Any style of building (No Clip, No DLC, Vanilla, BP Edit) are allowed
- Engine stretching, thinning, no heating is allowed
- Using edited separators to gain thrust is not allowed
- Using career/custom/modded parts is not allowed

Let another Collab Project begin!

Is bp editing allowed? Bugs? What is the limit in size? Btw you could do multiple of these, for each land feature of the moon. Ex: Sea of Serenity

If theres enough submissions to cause lag, i might consider splitting the colonies.

Guess I'll start remodelin some of my existin stuff here and test it to moon for qualification then give it you for usage. :p

So what's the regime? Low lunar orbit? Highly elliptical orbit?

How many crew to pack in like sardines? 4-8? The smallest I got can fly 4 (ala dream chaser-HL 20)

First crafts have been launched! The first one to land at the site of the future base that is Ocean of Storms is the Destiny Lander, derived from DSRE, it's going to provide us with capability of transport of heavy modules between LLO and surface.

My second addition is the first crew module, the Bob-Base. Also derived from DSRE.

I decided to break out the old ion engine launch vehicle for this launch pad https://sharing.spaceflightsimulator.app/rocket/qc1o2LkcEe21OIE9QGRKkw View attachment 99721
The launchpad is hollow so you can store junk in it like cars; thing is an sstm so you can go to he moon, then recover the launcher if you want
Now i'll launch these :)

After seeing how large stuff was compared to my landing pad i have decided i want to submit something so massive it can be seen from space so; i have made hobbs tower, 1500 meters tall at least with an elevator shaft that goes all the way through, the thing weighs 45,000 tons in whole, is sepeRated into 5 sections, 1 base, 3 middle, 1 roof; the middle sections can be piled on each other and stack forever. do not let elevator exceed 10m/s
