Entry 2/3: Mars Landing and Return

[CST-100]

I'll be using a new superheavy rocket for this mission because it is the only blueprint I have on hand and I want a reason to test it. I originally thought it was way overkill but it turned out to just make it.

We're launching...

and we're in earth orbit.

Transfer burn completed.

Now, I forgot to take a screenshot in Martian orbit but I hope this sub-orbit screenshot counts.

Atmospheric entry.

Chutes deployed and we're safe on the surface.

Now we're seperating the lander and returning to martian orbit.

Transferring to Earth...

Re-entering Earth's atmosphere.

And home sweet home... We're back to where we started.

I'm sorry, but most of your screenshots are cropped. We need to be able to see the entire screen.

I forgot to say that I stacked some fuel tanks to make the landing engines on the top of the payload fit behind the heatshield. Would that be an issue? I stacked 4 of those tanks on each side.
