Help making a Space Shuttle SRB.

Question How do you make SRBS separate from the External Tank like how other peoples shuttles can?

Back in 1.4 it was just a trick with the fairings, I don't know if it still works in 1.5.

Basically this:

-You build all your SRB outside the ET, by clipping tanks together.
-Then you put a fairing over it and you stretch it to the lenght you want your SRB.
-You put something to make sure the fairing doesn't detaches.
-You attach the whole thing to the ET with a separator. Make sure no other part is attached to the ET, otherwise it won't detach!
-Test it.

It should work.

I don't have any example right now, and like I said I don't know if it still works in 1.5. I think it's better if you show me a screenshot of what you did.

Nah, for starters I think you have to use bp editing, cause part clipping isn't gonna work.

Also, all your SRB's internals, including the separation mechanism must be outside the external tank, not clipping through it. Only the fairing must be clipping through the tank.

It may be a bit disappointing tho coz the Fairing breaks wen it separates

It wont work because the SRB needs to remain intact and the Engine needs to seperate aswell
