Yeah one Jupiter flavoured pizza moon coming right up.

To orbit and on our way to the good ol' gate to everywhere.

Nice.

That's one V and one E. Awesome. Now I decided to not add an e, but spend some of my excess delta v. So I bur e direct from there. The meeting didn't go as Hawkeye over here thought it looked, so oh well ... Circularise it is.

That gave me an easy entry to the soy, and eye it again I did. Now I went the wrong way around Ganypede and sort of left the circus... Oof.

But too late. well at least I managed to give the astronaut about 3 consecutive strokes.

And a loooooooooong time wondering if I'll ever return him to Earth.
Poor bastard.

But I did return him to Jupiter, so at least that helped him deal with the now chronic twitching XD. I told him: "Stop complaining before I send you to catch up with Voyager". Haha, that put him in his place real quick!

Much better. Set up for a few consecutive Ganymede brakes.

He eventually got all cross-eyed because I kept assisting in opposite directions...

And finally Callisto, to land.

Hey, it's only been a few decades.

He actually cried.

The breakup.

This goes to the surface. The lander unit was dry was so I dumped it and landed anyway, with just the capsule.

He hobbled out of the craft, all twisted up and cross-eyed, mumbling inaudible gibberish to himself, drowning in tears. He kissed the ground through his helmet. I don't think he realised it isn't Earth...

I promptly sent him back, for his own sake.

And a welcome refuel awaits.

A little help from good ol' Ganypede.

And off he goes!

A second assist sends him on a route leading back to Earth. REAL Earth. Not that he could tell the difference anymore...

Two more assists and some fire seals the deal.

Hope his frail old bag-o-bones can handle re-entry and gravity!

Welcome ho.... Oh shit. There was nobody to meet him... They forgot he existed!

Oh well... Achievements in the next post.

Now I don't know much about shuttles, but I'm pretty sure your vertical stabiliser isn't supposed to be missing a large piece...

Much improved but still missing an engine and a port. Hey, not bad for something that has no semblance of landing gear yet!

Down she comes! ... And this was too bloody close. Had about 8 seconds of fire left in her.

Time to reload.

700t went to orbit 10 minutes ago. It was actually easy, could have added 150t to that, it turns out. Anyway, posting my entry when I have data that's sufficient for more than text posts... That'll be in just over 2 hours. Here's one capture:

That's what I did with it after making orbit. Viper needed fuel for further missions.

It Is Time...

I honestly thought it would be closer, but here's how it went.

Primary boosters gone.

Core spent. As you can probably tell, there's tons of fuel and plenty of thrust at this stage. the remaining 870m/s was a walk in the park.

Dropping some dead weight.

And dropping the boosters with 7.5% fuel still left in them. What a waste. But hey, I gotta verify the payload mass somehow, right?

That concludes my required Team Hawk entries. The rest will follow anyway. No half measures with TT.

Meet Diamant BP4. The French satellite launch vehicle that was the first non-American, non-Russian SLV. Fundamentally the establishment of the ESA before there was the ESA. 21.6m tall, 1.34m in diameter excluding its fins. Let's give it a whirl, shall we?

I did this in realistic because in normal mode you don't even stage before reaching orbit. In realistic it's spot-on.

Measure/launch stand. Let's get this baby from 1975 flying!

The two upper stages are solid motors, so no switching off. I forgot to fill the satellite's tank, but that's fine for purposes of this demo. Altie, I hope you like this, because I loved this!
