Hinges

Alright, i've started working on some custom landing gear for some new ships, but i have this annoying issue where my landing gear keeps glitching itself apart, sometimes it just leaves the bearing somehow, and sometimes it glitches and smashes into the rocket, and sometimes nothing happens. Any way to build better hinges? my current hinges are some of the sort used in Danny batten's hinge guide in the USFS, along with some more modern ones with 4 side parachutes

I have a 90 degree hinge that I use for shuttle doors. I've only managed to dock it in the initial 'closed' position though. The probe is sufficient to open and close the door in space - it needed RCS assistance under gravity though.
