You need to make a custom Earth texture, maybe paint it

Ah, I guess you'll need a custom texture for that. Then you'll have to reference the texture in the planet file, but that's the easy part.

You can check in the existing planet packs, some modders have already made textures from Earth. Maybe you'll find one that fits your need?

That blue screen happened to me when I was testing my Neptune, i think you set the post processing to blue : 1.0
