Burning for orbit...

First stage detached and second stage engines ignite!

Reached LEO and preparing to raise apoapsis:

Now raising the periapsis:

Preparing for rendezvous...

We no longer need the LAS, so say goodbye!

Messed up rendezvous, so I need to try again.

Second stage separation:

Attempting second rendezvous:

"OH SHIT!" Screams the pilot as he frantically turns the craft and fires the engines, narrowly avoiding collision with the other craft.

Slowed down, and now using RCS to guide the craft and dock.

Unintentionally, I suppose. When building it, what I was thinking was, "I want a crewed rocket that isn't overpowered and looks pretty cool." It's weight is 423.2 Tons and TWR 1.28, so I did pretty good.

You should burn horizontally by the time you reach 20km. It'll save you a lot of Δv lost at apoapsis. And keep your apoapsis under 40km (with practice you'll get it under 32). To keep it low, rather than shutting down and restarting, just lean over so your rocket is at 90º with the dotted line of the Apoapsis.
