Oshizuma Izushika you're not the first and you won't be the last. Still around. I promise you that you will get more out of this game than you ever thought possible if you are willing to learn.

I tried my thumb fingered hand at your challenge. No landing but extremely close flybys of all 4 moons and Jupiter.

I believe that with some planning and better piloting skills than mine it might be doable. With ions no doubt about it at all

I used my 2nd rocket as a gas can. There's probably a better way.

Look at those orbits. This is after fuel transfer and warping into transfer

God I love Jupiter. You can literally throw yourself from one end of the solar system to the other

Overall the challenge was interesting. It's always fun to explore the planets. Sometimes we forget about that. Some of the constraints don't make a lot of sense to me. Why 2 rockets? There is no doubt this is doable as outlined using ions. Why do I feel a vibration in the very earth every time someone says Ion?

Ions make things too easy man. Like zero effort required. Just some patience. A potential 27000m/s delta v tells a big chunk of the story. With them stretched all challenges are dead.

Disagree. You still need chemical rockets to land and lift off in all four moons. It's not that easy for the average SFS player with the 2x300T limit.

Stretching, as I said, is what people do. Which increases thrust. And keeps ISP the same so that's the common cheap-out screw-the-game cheat.

I may be wrong (I never stretch engines), but not anymore I believe. Now it's just that the mass is kept the same. The Isp remains the same and the fuel consumption is increased in consequence, so on this point it's fine.

Point is, thrust increases. So instead of 20 ions you can just use one. You get a 9.5t saving on mass and you only turn on one engine, and you have 3 frontiers, but with over 4 times the ISP.

-Land on all four moons of Jupiter
-maximum of 2 launches
-each rocket must weigh no more than 300t
-no cheats, except inf build area and no burn marks
-first person to legitimately complete this challenge can tell me what they want me to create next :)
Good Luck!
-challenge open to anyone
-Oshizuma
I did all of this with only one launcher from Earth with no cheats, no clipping, no custom parts, no infinite building area, no refueling, no other rocket's help, and did it with astronaut, not with probe, and returned him home to Earth alive.

And i completed it all at Realistic level of game difficulty with 1:1 to reality distances and gravities. Because that is much more fun, than the default easy level of game difficulty. Here it is with more details: link to the message.
