Reasonably efficient considering what it is. :)

The challenge is pretty simple. You need to transport a payload of 1 kiloton (1000 tons) into orbit.

Rules:
Multiple launches are allowed
Cheats are allowed for initial construction
Payload must be transported all in one go
No cheats for the actual launch

Payload BP provided for your convince. You can use a different one if you want, as long as it is 1000+ tons.
You allowed to...bp edit?

Hello,

Yes this is allowed as long as the changes made are fair. In particular streching engines is usually forbidden, because this increases their thrust without increasing their mass. Or if you do it you have to add the needed ballasts to make the change fair.

Hey Altair, did you know that engine heat makes engines very laggy? 100 Titans is now too much for mobile too handle, mine barely runs 50, but the game becomes uncontrollable

Hello to everybody. :)
Finally I could reach the LEO on IRIS Solar System (by Altair) with the 1k-ton payload provided at the start of this thread (by Earl).

I tried to do it for months, and... at the end... I have this:
Mastodonte

It's the ugliest rocket I've made!

But, it works! XD

Hello!
I don't know what happens with my past design.
Since the day when announce the maneuver success, I couldn't achieve the LEO in IRIS again.
But, don't worry ;)
After a few changes, my little rocket have enough power to do the mission.
And now, I have some pictures for evidence. :D

Altair, do you have a new version for IRIS?

I install on my sfs the version "IRIS - Red planet" and the debris wasn't burn at the atmosphere.
Instead of that, it was destroyed when it bounced on the ground.
That was fun, but it's better to watch the debris burn up. :p

Unfortunately no, that project is on hold for now. I've been making some mods for the PC version ultimately, in particular a new navigation algorithm that took a really long time. I'll see if I can make some progress again on this mod.

Yeah, that's a known problem. Unfortunately I can't really fix it due to how heating is scaled up in the game. I had to greatly reduce the heat level because otherwise a reentry from Moon would have been lethal.

It's sad to read that. Although, IRIS still great! It was IRIS that pushed me to transform my Fortaleza on Mastodonte.
Oh, I forget it! Since a while ago I have a rocket for reach LEO with the 1k-ton payload using the standard Solar System.

This is my rocket "Fortaleza". Do you think with this I already belong to the Kiloton Club?

A brief history:
I lost the first evidences for showing when the Fortaleza 6K6 got it done. So, I took the task again... and... Surprise!
Today game has been update.
It's unexpected but, the LEO was done without release all the rocket steps!

It's huge! One thing I noticed was how steep your angle of attack was. I may be missing something but you could have angled way more instead of going almost straight up and it would have saved fuel

Well, I think there was an review with something in the game's program for getting the rocket inclination.
In my rocket Fortaleza there isn't engine gimbal before the 4th stage.
In SFS 1.5.9.9, I didn't have any problem with that; but, now looks like a brick until getting the 4th stage.
So that is the reason because I need to check the altitude and pull down the power on the rocket while release the 3th stage.
I notice too, more processing consumption from SFS in my phone since the 1.5.9.10 update. Anythig knows what happend in SFS?

Sorry, that's my bad. I wrote like a drunken.o_O
I try to say "Does anyone know what happened to SFS?"
Now, I have another question:
Does anyone know how edit a post after sending it? :p

Yeah, 1.59.10 is pretty laggy. Also torque and RCS are bugged

Do you think if the next quote by Altaïr, would works for enhanced better performance in SFS 1.5.9.10?

Open your blueprint in a text editor (it's a simple text file) then search for the engines you want to scale up.
By the way, you can also customize the size of your fuel tanks. It can help to make a few giant fuel tanks, that will look nicer and that will be easier for your game to handle.

Hi everybody.
Thank you for all your tips made about my last trouble in the game.
Merge the fueltanks was really useful to go through the lag problem when my huge rocket release the stages and get the attack angle.
By the way, I share us a new version for my rocket "Mastodonte".
Its name is MastodonteR3.
I try to eliminate some burn engines issues, there is a new stage to get a better perfomance on the space and, of curse, the larges fueltanks was merged!
This version has been for me a great tool!
I hope you find it useful, and welcome any suggestions for improvement. :D

I think this can paste here (or may be not) It's only a "little'' demonstration of the capabilities for the rocket MastodonteR3. I know, I know, it's necessary put in orbit first before bragging; but, I have made some tests and I have many hopes on this really works! :p
