It's not that difficult an assumption that you take a picture of the worlds first camera with the worlds second camera.

Or is that just me thinking outside the box again?

That may have been the world's first camera of that type, but simpler cameras using glass photographic plates or something would have been around for longer than that monstrosity.
So that's another way to take a picture of the world's 'first' camera.

But it says "MAKING of the world's first camera". If that's the first camera that means there was no second camera, otherwise, the second will actually be the first one.

There are many things in this world that I don't know. But one thing I am certain of is that camera is not being assembled for the first time in that picture.

Also, the fact that it is the first camera, implies specifically that a second (or more) exists. Otherwise it would be known as the only camera.

Or, here's another outlandish concept. Maybe they made more than one...at the same time...
