It could be better without so many engines
At most 7.
But you'll have a hard time fitting them all since the new update eliminated engine clipping from the buildscreen, so my advice is threefold:

• Make it lighter, no overlapping fuel tanks, so instead of 7 engines, you can take off with 6 or even 5.
• Make more space to fit the engines.
• Add some heat shields. There's lots of inspiration on how to do this on this forum, and we don't mind questions.

Well I made this before the new update so that answers one of your questions and when I tested it with 5 engines it barely made it to a orbit

i tried to make his without any bp editing and when putting on the heat shields i could only fit them on the bottom and couldn’t find a way to fit them on the nose of the shuttle or the engines

You have to download the blueprint file and copy it into the blueprints folder, in a subfolder named after the blueprint (just have a look at other blueprints to understand how they are organized).
