Recently I've been taking a break from SFS, having played it way too much, and finally got into KSP for real. Thinned my modlist from 200 heavy hitters performance wise to only 120, got volumetric clouds, everything a good, sane, law-abiding KSP player should do (looking at you RP-1 players).

I also got a great mod called Kerbol System Expansion, which is like OPM but newer with better visuals. Love it very much so far.

Anyway, this thread is for screenshots and mission overviews of my KSP missions.

Mainly building some warships right now, but I have done some trajectory optimization and come up with a cool grand tour trajectory that dips into the corona. All in under 14 years, which isn't at all bad!

This may cost some ΔV...
I didn't know there was such a trajectory planner on KSP.

Suprisingly no, less than 2.5 km/s. I'm using KSP Trajectory Optimization Tool to calculate it, it's seperate from the game but can interface with it to create nodes.

Ouroboros Cislunar Corvette

8x VLS cells, containing KKVs and HE-KVs. Capable of firing 4 of each simultaneously before reloading.

4x Quad VLS cell

16x Oberon Nuclear Kill Vehicle (NKV)

4x long range point-defence lasers

4x Oerliken PDCs

1x nose mounted FLIR targeting scope

Teakettle RCS lets it turn really fast and for a long time. As a matter of fact, it could fly a whole munar orbit mission from LKO just teakettle. TWR on the RCS is about 0.15 and they have 3 km/s ∆v with a full weapons load.

4 gas core NTRs for main propulsion, 7.6 km/s ∆v. I'll probably find a way to increase it so I can run some basic interplanetary escort missions with it as well.

The black radiators cool the engines and nuclear reactor, the white ones keep the LH2 cold and retract for combat.
