What if I made a backup of Persistant.qks, uninstalled then reinstalled the game, then placed the said file on the Saving folder?

That would work but the game sometimes randomly struggle to register your DLC purchase even though it eventually does. Do it wrong and you might actually lose your progress.

Just in case, you can also make a backup of your current planet pack, so if something is messed you can still come back to the original situation.

Luckily, I still have both the .zip and extracted file of the Planet Pack

Makes sure you back up your BP folder as well, that's seperate from the persistant.
