As you say, we would only do that if he asks too. Nothing has gone wrong with this thread, there's no reason to lock it for now.

I think you got the wrong thread...

This is Macer’s thread, not Cresign’s. Also we shouldn’t need to close threads that are fine to prevent people from necroposting. People should read the date of the post they are quoting, that’s all.

If a guy makes a nonsense reply then he's the one that should fix something. At some point we are not going to lock a thread and prevent everyone from answering because of a potential necroposter/shitposter. What if somebody wants to report a bug with the pack for example? And I'm not mentionning that we would end up closing practically every thread if we followed that logic.
