Calling all SFS rocketeers!
Welcome to the first official forum Christmas competition!
This year Santa is expanding his delivery range to the Mercury, Venus and Mars settlements. But your help is needed for the massive delivery logistics!
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to safely place as many presents as you can on as many of the inner planets as possible.
Rules:
•Starts 10th December, ends 23rd December. Winner announcements will take place in the next days afterwards.
•Use the provided present .bp or make your own present of similar mass range (0.5t to 2.5t).
•1.4 and older players may use small batteries or similar as presents.
•Sandbox cheats only allowed for launchpad assembly.
•Stretched engines are not allowed in any category.
•No damage during mission. Only discarded stages not used later in any capacity are allowed to sustain damage or be destroyed.
•Each blueprint you use must not be larger than a build grid.
•You must provide a launchpad screenshot of each blueprint.
•Document your launch and trip by screenshots (e.g., launch, staging, timewarp, arrival at a planet, present landing, departure....)
Points for each present landed (depends on the planet):
•25 points for Mercury.
•20 points for Mars.
•15 points for Phobos/Deimos.
•10 points for the Moon.
•5 points for Venus.
NOTE:
As you can see, each planet has an initial reward, specified below. Then, the presents start losing value when you deliver more than one. Each extra present values 5 less points.
So, for example: Mars' initial value is 20. You deliver 1 present, and you get 20 points.
You deliver a second present, and that one scores 15 points.
You deliver a third present, and that one scores 10, and so on.
Minimal value is 5, and never goes below 5. So there's always an incentive to build massive ships with a lot of presents.
Categories:
•Base game; 1 blueprint. Vanilla.
•Base game; unlimited blueprints. BP editing allowed.
•DLC; 1 blueprint. Vanilla.
•DLC; unlimited blueprints. BP editing allowed.
