Yes it is...just don't use the "move rocket" button or it will crashed you sfs lol

I've seen it done once. It wasn't practical for a number of reasons, least of which being the landing.

It's better to build it on its side since you can get more details and you can land it.

Erm, you use that word. It doesn't mean, what you think it means.

A top down, 2 dimensional shuttle won't flip. It can only rotate around itself in a maneuver called 'yawing'. Something Space Shuttles never do during the launch phase.
They rollover, either upsidedown or belly down to align into the correct inclination. Something your shuttle can't do.
And also, it means you can't do the pre-docking underside check roll either.

Well yeah, really. I've seen jt done once, and all the others are side on. So it's entirely reasonable to say nearly everyone does it that way.
