The N1/L3 was a super heavy-lift launch vehicle intended to deliver payloads beyond low Earth orbit. The N1 was the Soviet counterpart to the US Saturn V and was intended to enable crewed travel to Earth's Moon and beyond, with studies beginning as early as 1959 but the program has been cancelled.

provides a more accurate build than 90% of the members and says this:
sorry about the les design

That's a very good launcher dude, by your standards I would have to apologize for literally all my rockets!

Well done

Absolutely beautiful N-1. Only minor gripe, is that the 7K-LOK Soyuz spacecraft used fuel cells and had no solar panels. Still a great N-1 though.

"The superior N1 soviet rocket"

Matt Lowne
He isn’t that far off... I mean, if the reds could have made the N1 fly, they could have said they had a better moon rocket.

IF they could have made it fly...

Same for the STS vs the Energia/Buran. The Energia/Buran is actually superior to the STS in many points... too bad it couldn’t do more than one flight.

Actually N1 planning is back in 1958, so if the reds activate it before the famous speech, probably the reds are already there before the A 10 or 8.

If the reds could static fire the first stage like spacex does, I think N1 would have made it into operation.
Even static firing the flight engines would have been a huge benefit.
But alas, N1 first stage engines had pyrotechnic valves and stuff... So the only way to test it was to launch it.

Or change the pyrotechnics to the valve that can be open again or the other Bureau make the engine for N1?
