Theoretically would it be possible to do two challenges in one? So using one design to achieve two different conditions or more.

For example the space station and the mars landing and return.

I’m wanting to get these ”new” badges and the 100% badge too.

Edit:
Also do the previous badges count as a 5/5 or the minimum requirement for them. As I have ones from the previous system.

yes that is possible

is it possible to include few custom parts as accessories (does not affect the main challenge rocket specs and purely just to enhance the experience)
also, is it possible to resize engine bc im seeing a few build with engine resized in it

Custom parts:
  • No custom parts are allowed.

BP editing methods allowed:
  • Resizing parts via sizing code which accordingly changes the wet and dry mass of the part.
  • Limited stretching of decorative/structural parts if negligible resulting dry mass advantage.
  • Can shrink any part in any dimension.
  • Can rotate parts.

Would I be allowed to fuel up a space station using the acarii drive? After like launching a proper refueling rocket. So I could then use it for the mars and back?

1 point for doing something reasonably interesting with the mission appropriate to Recruit skill level (functionality, notably greater payload mass fraction than 10%, great rocket, efficiency, use of gravity assists (bearing in mind a much more impressive payload mass fraction should be expected if assists are used, much much greater than 10%), small enough rocket & probe to make minimum mass fraction harder to achieve, specific skill, theme, planning, execution, etc anything relevant)
Clarified that since gravity assists make things easier, a larger payload mass fraction applies when using them in voyager quest.

You did not specify a number, "much much larger" is a little vague. 12% ? 15%?. In my attempt I managed just under 17%.

Unless the judges come to a consensus I'd rather err on the side of vague and let them sort it on a per-submission basis, the important part is that people don't expect to get a point for using a gravity assist with only ≈ 10%.
There's an additional trickiness factor in describing this because it could be just one gravity assist or a whole chain of them.

Will edit the first post later, but for now this is a link to pertinent information about who ranks your challenge submissions.
Hello, to help with the process of ranking challenges, we have badges now for the people who are willing to officially judge them, just to help you know who to ping. Don't ping anyone who doesn't have one of those badges.:p
There are two badges, Tier 1 Ranker and Tier 2 Ranker.
Tier 1 means that user can rank Tier 1 challenges
Tier 2 means that user can rank Tier 1 and Tier 2 challenges.

We never explicitly restricted people from being able to apply for being a ranker, but that piece of lore got lost in the rework, it seems.
So let me explicitly state again that anyone can apply to be a ranker, the only requirements are that you've demonstrated being knowledgeable enough and sensible enough for the job.
Send a DM to someone with a ranker badge if you're interested.

Don't let not being a ranker stop you from offering constructive criticism, just make it clear that it's not official and be nice.

Last thing, let me state something else again for the record:
When a ranker gives you a grade, that is 100% official unless they made an error. You can consider yourself as owning the grade you were given.
The only reason it's just admins that can give a badge for a 4/5 or 5/5 grade is because of limitations with the forum software. If that wasn't the case we'd gladly give those powers to the moderators, sentinelles and even the rankers. And the giving of the badge is 100% a formality, the admins generally don't even check the ranking result to see if it's correct.

I've done some testing to this point. I started these tests all in LEO and tested how much of a payload I could get out of a 60 ton (including the payload) craft which consisted of one valiant powered stage and the payload. This mass was chosen because it closely matches the payload size of the original VQ probe.
Without any assists, 1860 m/s was needed, which meant the payload could be 25 tons (with a 35t stage). With a Jupiter assist, 1350 m/s was needed, allowing for a 31 ton payload (29 ton stage). Using a VEEJ route, only 850 m/s is needed, resulting in a 39.5 ton payload (20.5 ton stage).
Since all these tests used the same total mass from LEO, they should correspond to the same launch vehicle to take them to LEO. Assuming the no assist, 25t payload represents the baseline 10% launch mass, the minimums should be: 12.4% for just the Jupiter assist, and 15.8% for a full VEEJ route.

I probably already completed three of the challenges as youtube videos. Would it be sufficient to link the video in a post, because most information is already contained in the video?

Did you look at the challenge guidelines before you uploaded the video? If not, I would recommend doing the missions again to make sure you follow them

i have a question. in the Atlas challenge, it said the payload should be wholly inert, can i atleast add a probe on it? and some solar panels and landing legs that function just for looks?

and also, is no heat damage cheat allowed? i have prepared a rocket for the atlas challenge, and it was so hard due to the limited build space i had to turn on no heat damage.
