Hello everyone! This thread will be for the development of my planet pack Tolania.
I will post the first version of Tolania in separate thread, much like Gurren Lagann has done with ACSS.

Yet another problem with planet editing. Instead of using a Phobos/Deimos file I used a stock Venus file and edited it, providing everything needed.

Gurren Lagann, Blazer could I get some help with this?

Well the game does say that the planet can't be created, but I don't see anything wrong, so it shouldn't be something big. Probably a missing comma or something.

But how am I supposed to find something that small...?

I think you're gonna have to recode it. :(
Take a virgin planet file and modify it the way you want again.
Alrighty. I'll do that sometime tomorrow, gonna need to sleep soon cos I have classes. Hopefully it'll go according to plan.

I went into a virgin file and half of it was cut off. I uninstalled and reinstalled my file manager cos I think that might be the issue.

Now the file is fixed, but it still doesn't load, same error. Here's the major parts of the file.

FIXED! :D

Screenshot_2021-09-13-19-02-35-779.jpg

The problem was a broken fragment of what I think it was the Terrain Formula after the achievements.
Screenshot_2021-09-13-18-41-59-492.jpg
There was also a fragment of Orbit Data at the end of the file, but I didn't screenshot that.

The fixed file is in the Attachments of this post:

It's time to check out Ignis for myself. I will be using my Beluga shuttle.

The shuttle itself will merely flyby the planet, it's the payload that will drop into the atmosphere.

Here's the payload, a simple probe.

The texture of the planet is pretty, though I may change the atmosphere's colour and make it transparent.

Assuming everything worked out, the probe should go through the planet because I set the crash to false. Another thing I will be doing is making the surface smoother.

Unfortunately it didn't go through, but that should be an easy fix.

Stay tuned for part two, Beluga Shuttle returning to Earth!

I'm surprised I was able to make it back with 11% of fuel remaining and it's good to know that the landing gear work. Now I have a good sense of what this shuttle can do.

Blazer What do you think of the mission?
Nice mission! The shuttle looks very good! It reminds me of the early SCS (an old iconic shuttle which you can find here on the forum).

The fact that the surface is solid is because when I rebuild the planet, I just copypasted Venus' terrain, which is obviously solid.

Thank you! I'll take a look around for SCS, I may have seen it before and the name sounds familiar.

Got it. I'll set the crash to false, that should fix it. Say, can you send me your Example folder planet files? I think mine are all a little screwed, pieces of code are missing from them.

An Example folder with all the stock planets is right here, just above your thread. :)

Every bloody time I open one of the stock files, even the ones from the forum, part of the file is cut off.

Is there anything that can be done about this?
