Well we would be able to tell each craft apart when firing

Well I’m hoping it would be a feature in the actual game. Not a mod, as IOS users cannot use mods

Yes I’ve looked at these possibilities. I designed one but found out a missile version of it is more effective

Before reentry, the landing legs at the top are deployed and the bottom 3 docking ports are separated. This is both to slow the pod down and to stabilize it. It is NOT recommended that you do this during reentry instead of before, because the atmospheric drag will cause the bottom of the stabilizer to hit to solar panels at enough force to break it. Next, when you are about to touchdown on the surface, seperate the top 2 docking ports to remove the stabilizer mechanism. And then shortly after you should touchdown safely on the ground.

Unfortunately that’s not how the current aerodynamics works. But it is being reworked for the next update
