Solved Docking Help

I'm trying to recreate a space station orbitting the earth, I've tried every which way the medium/large docking ports to attach other pieces but it doesn't seem to attach! Any help on what I'm doing wrong or to identify which way is the right way round for them would be great

docking ports only dock to other docking ports, they don't dock to other parts.

I have got docking ports on both ends.. İt's just doesn't seem to dock! Is there a specific way of knowing which way they should be to Dock properly?

errrrr.........they are facing the wrong way...all of them.
you know that silver part of the docking port? It needs to be facing outwards

silver hits silver to dock. With current design, tap them and they fly away....

They are placed in the wrong direction. That silver line needs to touch another silver line
