Wow. SFS 1.5 feels like a new game, even though not much is different from 1.4. My favorite music tracks are back with some friends, and there are bountiful new files to edit in the game's fancy new insides.

Share your shenanigans with new features here!

This may not be a new feature, but I noticed from a video that the Subreddit, Discord, and Stefs YouTube channel made it into the game, but the forum was left out :(

Mass selected/copy-pasted a bunch of painted separators a to make this heli-carrier-ish thing in 5 minutes. This would have been a pain for me to make in 1.4

Not so much a feature, but a bug that stef is keeping around for a while.
BP editing/ part stacking from inside the editor!

Possibly, lots of people like it and in DMs he said he wouldn't patch it for now. Gotta hope he keeps it in.
For sure. This opens up so many possibilities especially for players who don’t have access to .bp editing.

The guy really does care about the players. Despite all the shit that some mindless zombies spit out about him.
Yeah, I feel bad for him. Having to deal with all the moronic people that are part of the “community” now. It wasn’t like this when I started playing, everyone was a lot nicer (this doesn’t really apply to the forum).

While .bp editing, you can change the deploy state of parachutes, as well as the visual state. Sooooo...

You can also turn on engines in the .bp editing stage, meaning you don't need to when you launch. Also, you can empty fuel tanks, though I'm pretty sure that isn't new.

Solar panels and landing legs can start deployed by changing "state" and "state target" to 1.0

I saw something about being able to put engines on the side of a fuel tank and have them draw fuel from it and run, is this true?

Yes, this is true. Fuel tanks can even communicate through their side now:

While it seems that those are 3 separate fuel tanks, the game consider them as a single one.

Ok, wow. This opens up the possibility of easy two wide fuel tanks for smaller probes.

To demonstrate how important aerodynamics are, I made a little something. The top image is with fairings and the bottom is without. The top has ~3% more mass, but still goes higher because if it's better aero.

Ok, this thread is an awesome compilation of all the cool stuff...
So nice of Stef to fix aerodynamics and figure out a way for even IOS players to overlap parts!

I was making the big orange tank on the space shuttle when I realized I could do this.

To replicate it, select all of the parts you want outside, and rotate them. Then launch immediately and then revert to build.
