Right... well I started on the elevator shafts. It also forms the chamber for the power core:

The bits on the end are elevators waiting to be put into service.

Elevators... right. Ok so it is really crucial to not get this wrong. And I did.

Fortunately easily fixed because of my very detailed but slow and minor expansion practices. So only 2 parts to replace.

Done! Now onto the actual elevators. I'm adding an executive elevator to the commander's personal craft.

how long did it take to build the reactor core? like not to deploy it but to actually BUILD it? theres like 800 RTGs, must have been like 20 minutes of drag and dropping the parts...

1164 excluding the caps that make it round (10 each X4). Closer to 45 minutes. Not counting the 90 minutes just planning the core size and layout.

Right, back to business:the first fuel storage tank. Here is where any minor size calculations may delay the build process unimaginably. So I hope for a smooth planning to building transfer

Update: completed the NE Executive Elevator Shaft. And replaced the two smaller temporary fuel reserves with one much larger. I use this to refill drone tanks so that the ship's own fuel reserves remain intact until activation.
