I've seen massive ships being launched that couldn't have possible be built in the default editor. What's going on?

I've seen massive ships being launched that couldn't have possible be built in the default editor. What's going on?

These huge builds are done by assembling them in multiple parts on the launchpad by connecting them with docking ports. Usually this is done with the No-Gravity cheat on, but it is possible without that.

No, for KSP, not this game. SFS's aerodynamic system is a mess.
