You know Vulcan is only 2 BE-4 engines, right?
Nope. Replicas ain't my thing. And I know next to fuck all about European, Russian and the vast majority of American rockets.

This is the only Vulcan I know that flies, and it's got 4 engines.

Although, now that I'm looking at Vulcan Centar and you still could've done this

find a variant with big enough boosters
And gone with the 6x hawk powered booster version,
Stacked behind each other.

Giving you just over 800t of thrust to play with.

And hawks are better than titans, cos TWR.

Yeah, I could do that, but I won't. And yeah, if I had better engines for the core I would use hawks for the boosters.

How about hiding another pair of frontiers in the middle of the core? You can't see plumes through fairings

Fairing ok. Centaur... Trying to work out whether if the 12.5m applies to the whole thing or just the fuel. Assuming the former, then it's ok. First stage can't find exact, but will work out based on total height and rest. Boosters... Something has to be done about them, like

That's a decent idea actually. I just need to make sure I can turn on the engine through the fairing.

This is the best I can do design-wise to get the boosters to hawks, since you can't activate engines inside fairings rn. I still need to fix the fuel since the core burns faster than the boosters atm.

It is quite nice to fly though despite the reduced twr.
Any word on this replica?

I have a proposition for making the engines look better. Give me a few mins.

Wow, I never realized you can connect separators to ths outside of interstages.

Color mistake doesn't affect testing.

I'll check the final details later, I'm at my cousins' house for the weekend and my phone is running out of time.

Anyways, I've had that final mission done for a while now. Launched an interplanetary lander on that 2000t monstrosity of a box rocket I used for the Hawk entry.

Destination: Mars

Flew right past one of the moons (I think it was Deimos) on the way in.
Screenshot_20210412-221409_Spaceflight Simulator.jpg

Orbited, and now landing ship detached.

Because I'm doing a propulsive landing, it actually serves me well to land on Olympus Mons.

I do really appreciate the split velocities. Quite useful.

No reason to stick around, I've got places to go.

Back in orbut, the orbiter (which is still attached to the second stage might I add) reaches the lander and docks.
Screenshot_20210412-223233_Spaceflight Simulator.jpg

Screenshot_20210412-230241_Spaceflight Simulator.jpg

Made the burn out and then finally left the second stage behind.

"But Lieutenant," you might ask, "why did you plan on still having a full stage when you've already landed on and left Mars?"

Well, I'm not done with this mission yet. Why make two flights when I can just make one?
