The shuttle could use a better payload Door and...

Isn't the SLS based on the shuttle? So now by using the SLS to launch the shuttle you are closing the circle.

And the sad thing is is that it is the most functional shuttle I have ever made.

I was testing out a top mounted shuttle based off of the previous design. On the second test flight (pictured), I hit a discarded SRB from the first test flight.

Despite a large portion of the thrust removed from the equation, the flight continued...

The 105t payload was delivered to orbit successfully. Sturdy-ass rocket if I ever saw one.
