Just tried a couple more Jovian aero brakes...
Top of the atmosphere may as well be an event horizon, I don’t think there’s a chance in Hell you even touch that stink gas and it’s all over View attachment 33223
Look how wonky that is when I’m around Ganymede, line is touching CCW from the suggested peri apsis, somehow by the time I reach Europa orbit I’m at 90km and the line’s all polygon corners, then I hit it and my orbit is instantly a tight suborbital death race

Yeah, that's a known bug. When you get close to Jupiter for some reason your speed is capped at 10000 m/s. If you're on a descending trajectory when it happens then you're doomed. But if you intend to go into Jupiter's atmosphere your speed will quickly decrease anyway.
