I was trying make a realistic system myself so this is happen when i am trying to make sun not only for sun when you make a atmosphere that is too high when you zoom in the lecture will dissapear like this
I think your problem may be that perhaps the atmosphere doesn't exist, Like instead of having a whole gradient you are just using the map view as an atmosphere, which doesn't work. Also for future reference please use a youtube link or something, its just a bit easier to use for most folks.
