Hello! I've been gone for awhile, and now I'm back. I came back when I did a bit of advertising for my webcomic, and just coming to the forums resparked my interest in SFS. I decided to come back to the forum with a big mission.
Goal: Fly a space station into orbit around Europa, Jupiter's moon. Then, land a rover or lander on the surface.
I started out by using my space shuttle, Cosmos, to fly the first part of my station to LEO. It's a solar section with huge solar panels, with it weighing around 100 tons.
Meanwhile, my 110 IQ brain, uh, I mean R and D, created a tanker version of my shuttle. All unnecessary parts, such as heat shields and cargo bays, have been striped off to leave as much weight as possible for fuel tanks, as this tanker is all about the GODDAMN FUEL! I'm still not sure if this thing can fly, but I can learn that in testing.
I do have to admit, it looks like a bullet. But it kind of gives of a starship feel, and I like that. Anyways, I'll keep you guys updated, and this is Ilovespace3, over and out.
