Does anybody know why those docking ports don’t work? They connect, but when I try to separate them from other ports, they don’t separate…

Have you tried to use the stagin? Stage then burn?

Ok… I switched up those tiny ports for normal sized ones and switched around the engine arrangement and…

Ta daa! A perfectly proportional (I hope) 1/3 scale model of SpaceX Starship, I will refine things like the cargo bay to make it fuel-transferable and stuff. This one is the non-catchable one, where the bottom is more realistic, but this:

is catchable.

Okay! I made some improvements… a way to transfer fuel and a new docking port… so I borrowed Kejora Starspace’s 1:3 scale SLS and started doing Artemis stuff.

Does anybody know how much delta-v it takes to get into Venusian orbit? I consulted the delta-v map, but it didn’t say…

Uhhh, I dont know this. And I never been on Venus in SFS. The my longest trip was ET Phone home mission.

This can probably land on the moon from Earth, and I don’t think Venus is that bad, but I’m just checking…

You need like 4500 m/s of DeltaV to reach orbit on Venus. Not sure what is the deltaV of that rocket because part clipping makes it hard to see. You can try for yourself with an unmanned version of that rocket.

That seems okay. My rocket has about 5500 m/s, maybe more, since my numbers might not've been too precise.

It doesn't say it because there's no firm answer to this question. Delta-V considerations don't take into account gravity and drag. In the end, it will depend a lot on your design. Your rocket seems fine to be honest, I already managed to do it with a much smaller rocket, but the best way is still to try.

Time for my first big mission in awhile - Pisces I - the first manned Venus return mission that I’ve ever done, part of my mission of landing on all landable bodies.

1. Launch of the Pisces spacecraft, containing 2 crew members

2. Orbit (not really) and fuel transfer

3. Actually reaching orbit during burn for Venus, MECO, and separation

4. The long wait… STILL WAITING

5. 1st aerobrake

6. Rendezvous and docking

Our crew will continue to conduct studies of Venus on the station, before both head to the surface base.

Our accuracy wasn’t too great, so we’ll just have to hope the space suits don’t explode from the pressure or melt from the heat…

The two astros will continue living in the small settlement, conducting science experiments and collecting samples both of the visible soil, and deep underground, through the drill.
