I had once made a one-way SSTP (Single Stage to Pluto), maybe i can try the so-called "Kaizo" difficulty.

Nope, i used chemical engines - ions are too weak to lift a rocket the size of my SSTP

I meant using them in vacuum once the SSTP is in orbit?

I didnt use ions at LPO, in fact i never slowed down to LPO (I used lithobreak).
While i didnt return to Earth (Pluto is far), i'm certain that the Moon is reachable.

Well I may be doing something wrong and way off my money but I'd quite like to see it do a drag on return lunar landing.
If it's the one I'm thinking of, its overall Dv is 300 less than the one I failed with. TWR is higher though, so it could be interesting.
