Nice :)
On my side the SSSLS wasn't made on my first try too. It followed my attempts at making an efficient launcher in the kiloton club challenge. I had some experience :p
Also, to optimize its performance there are some useful preliminary steps to design the real size launcher: I first worked on a reduced scale launcher: number of engines, fuel quantity were reduced by one third. The advantage is that now it fits in the building space. I made several attempts, with boosters/core of different size, and saw which combination gave the better result. Then I just had to multiply the proportions by 3 to have an equivalent launcher in terms of efficiency.
Thank you for the fascinating insight.
It seems to me in addition that your configuration (booster and a sustainer core, ala SLS or Ariane 5) is more effective than mine, as you have no idle engines wasting dV on the ascent.
By the way you don't have to worry I won't be able to satellize that one :p
Thank God!o_O

I finally have a Dragon 2 that I am happy with. It only took three full redesigns to get here, but I think it was worth it!

Ariane 62 anyone?

Spent a few hours working on this build today. It is to scale (or at least as close as you can get in SFS). That’s about all I got to say about it.

So I was doing some research to build a 1:1 scale Delta II in SFS, and man did I severely overestimate the size. I never realized just how small the Delta II actually is. Anyway, here is the result:

It’s not great, but it can put small payloads into LEO. Finding dimensions were a pain so there may be some inaccuracies, but the main gist of it is there. Putting details into a build this small is a challenge for sure.

After a few weeks of on and off work, I can now happily present my new lunar space station:
4720B874-7AF2-4ACF-A2EF-ECCC41D0390B.jpeg

It is based almost entirely off of my old Lunar station from 1.4, but it is comprised of “almost” entirely redesigned modules. It is serving as the staging ground for lunar surface bases, and possibly Mars missions.

So far it is accommodating two Starships (one crewed, and one cargo), two Crew Dragons (one modified lander variant capable of shuttling between the station and future surface bases, and one standard variant capable of bringing crew up to the station), and an Orion ICPS setup.

There are just a few small things left to add, but this is the station as it stands. I fully expect it to evolve over time to better fit the needs of the missions it serves.

Everything is looking impressive! May be time for me to start building a lunar station or a Mars one.

Over the past few weeks I have made a few updates/redesigns of old craft. First off there is the Soyuz with a complete redesign of the side boosters, as well as an improved pad to go with it:

I have been getting more satisfied with every iteration of my Soyuz, and I believe this is a step in the right direction.

Next I have created a new Falcon Heavy, and Dragon 2/Red Dragon using my new Falcon 9 cores:

Next we have a Dragon XL which also rides a Falcon Heavy:

Finally I have completely redone my old build of a Cargo Dragon:

The Soyuz is nice, but for the Falcon it's not necessary to place fairing at the bottom.
In 1.5 the fuel tanks can cover everything, those fairing look a little weird when you on those Engines.
And even if you want to add a fairing add one with the same size that of fuel tank by bp editing so that it overlaps and looks like fuel tank.

He's on iOS. Can't edit.

In my experience iOS players are more skilled builders and designers. Because they can't easily rip stuff off, they must rebuild themselves whatever they like from someone else, more limitations spawn more creativity and innovation due to necessity, and they experiment more. Same for base game players. They have my respect.

Exactly, I honestly like the constraints. While there are lots of edited builds that I envy, I feel like the limitations definitely force me to find smaller little work arounds compromises that I probably wouldn’t do if I could just edit it how I want.

Here is my first iteration of the Boeing CST-100 Starliner in 1.5:

I’m pretty happy with how this one turned out. It is pretty simple (at least compared to some of my other recent builds), but I think it looks pretty good.

This wasn’t intentional, although it turned out to be not to far off scale wise compared to my Dragon two build. Here they both are next to each other:
