No, that's a different language. But it probably won't sound different from spanish or italian to you :)
Portuguese, Spanish, Italian, French... all part of a group of diverse languages called "Dirty Latin". They all originated from the Roman Empire when they ruled Europe, North Africa and Western Asia. Interestingly, they never ruled the Arab Peninsula, as it was seen as a dead piece of earth filled with savages. Until the savages reformed and overtook everything.

I'll be honest here, I can't tell the difference between:
Spain and Italy
France and Italy <-- My strategy is one loves baguettes and the other loves pizza.
Brazil and Mexico
Philippines and Thailand
Just remember Philippines has been colonised by 3 countries and always demanding that Chinese "militia" should get away Pag-asa Island.
Thailand by the way is called "Land of the Free".
