The popped shaft nose cone probably lies in the bolts, either the bolts failed structurally and snapped from possible internal over-pressure which is unlikely, or the engineer used the wrong type of bolt when fitting the cone back on during maintenance.
You can see the pilot locked the main fan from spinning to prevent further damage to the blades (where each of them costs a fortune to replace). The red hot glowing ring in the center of the turbine (where the cone was supposed to be) is probably created from a deformed shaft bearing rubbing against the outer casing, where the friction generated all the heat.
Another possible reason for the red hot ring is caused by the anti-icing hot bleed air, where hot air is bled from the main engine and supplied throughout critical parts of the engine to melt ice or frost, the cone of the turbine is one of them, so the red hot ring is probably made by the hot air itself.
