Suicide Burn

I've always had a bit of trouble with landing, normally my solution is to just bring so much delta V with me that i cannot possibly fail, but in the under pressure thats been a bit difficult, So like if im doing a suicide burn on mercury, how do i do that?

I used this method waaay to damn often. Combines the Oberth Effect iirc.
