Texture pack help

Whenever I try to install a texture pack, it doesn't work. I put the folder in the directory, but the textures don't show up. Can anyone recommend anything?

Does the texture pack appear in the mod loader? If yes did you activate it? Otherwise did you have an error when launching the game? It happens that texture packs don't work. Which one do you use?

Proxima's texture pack, I tried it again and it worked. I'll try another one I wanted to use too.
