All depends if it's a legal extension and you have an app that can read it. I believe all legal extensions/identifiers are 3 letters. Oh and if it's a known type you can usually tell the app to treat it as a specific type

Your right. I forgot jpeg. can you name another? Just looked it up. .mpkg and .zipx are 2 more
