They lost some time because during a static fire, an engine ate itself and pooped out the molten metal, but the rocket didn't blow up.
The engine ate itself because a piece of flying concrete chopped the engine control wire.
So SpaceX is trying to make two things work right now:
Starship and;
Taking off without launchpad that has flame diverters. (Important for Mars!)
