i got just about the same numbers and didn't boom my ship, no screenshots of that one though. i did catch some screen shots of numbers that should have boomed my capsule here.

I thought about something like that, but that doesn't look right. My uhh """"ship"""" (what's wrong with it? ) had 3 shields which temperature was above 5800°C, so the total heat is way above 10500°C.
I thought it could be the total heat generated during reentry, which would be the temperature a fully exposed part would have reached if there was no cooling process. But that will be hard to prove.
