600 shots per minute, to be a WW2 weapon is not bad at all
Neither is correct. 600rpm isn't a lot, most decent automatic weapons can exceed that without a problem.
That's cyclic though. Almost no weapon is actually capable of firing its cyclic rate of fire for a minute, especially not if you want to a) use it for a second minute and b) actually hit anything.
Exceptions include the Lewis/Maxim watercooled guns from WWI, that could fire continuously for nearly an hour before failing whilst mowing down walking Tommies like scythed wheat
