You've all used texture packs before... But none like this one! This is a collection of Shape Textures, not Color Textures, so you can use this pack *on top of* other texture packs. Designed with freedom and collaboration in mind, PEx Shapes+ is meant to enhance any spacecraft aesthetic you can find, and provide more nuance for creating future texture packs.

As far as I know, this is the first Shape Texture pack to be publicly shared, so if you like the concept I would love to get some feedback on what else could be included.


Includes:

- Segmented Cargo Module (similar to Cygnus Cargo)
- X-Reinforced Grid Pattern
- Grid Pattern
- Vertical Lines
- Hexagon Lattice Frame (2 heights)

- 3D Flat Box (like flat, but looks 3D with chamfered edges)
- Simple Panels (on round surface)
- Simple Panels (on flat box surface)

- Hexagon Shading
- Dodecagon Shading
- Tetradecagon Shading

- Pipes & Single Pipe on Tank (height adjustable)
- Inflatable Module Pattern (similar to BEAM)
- Integrated Truss Structure (inspired by ISS)


The "Box" texture is the simplest, but probably my favorite. I hated using the stock "flat" shape, because it usually looked so out of place in the 3D shaded environment, like a cartoon or sticker. The new "Box" shape allows a flat surface that looks like it belongs with the other shadings. It has great potential for base/colony modules, buildings, and textures like those found in "Colony Textures By: Budd" from Koolaidmonster .

I have included the texture names for each unique example below. Some textures in this pack (like CargoX smooth variants, and Pipe(s) middle sections) are only accessible by using the Part Editor Mod to input their texture names. I will probably change that soon, but for now just remember that if you can't find the right one in the shapes icon menu.

A good portion of these shape textures so not distort vertically when their part height is changed. Instead they tile and seamlessly adjust to maintain good visual proportions. If anyone is curious about this or the other properties I had to use to create this pack, see my post about some of the advanced texture editing parameters here: (it is a little boring though).

This pack is best enjoyed with the PartEditor Mod by Cucumber Space.
