At the Cylero—>Droo transfer window, Hellas, along with the three crew, was sent back up to Ithaca.

Getting into orbit without auto-burn was certainly new, but I managed without needing to reload a quicksave. Here you can see I forgot to open the nose.

Hellas undocked after the crew was transferred, to be crashed into the surface due to the aforementioned navigational issues.

However, the parachutes slowed Hellas down enough that the small amount of fuel remaining was enough to make a soft touchdown in probably the most visually stunning locations on Cylero. It will stay there as a monument to Expedition I and as a rough landing target for a future surface base.

Eventually Droo could be spotted, after a 60 or so day trip through the wide dark.

That's probably going to change soon when the remade stock system comes out
Oo
I’ve seen Pedro’s work in ESS, so I bet. (Make sure to tell the team to give Cylero 3 moons.)

Even if I’ll have to start a new save to get all of the cool stuff, I have most of the hardware in place for future missions already.
(Notably that the carrying capacity for a drop-off cargo mission using the CCC tank is 52 tons.)

My phone can't run SR2
The thing is, you can grind the visuals to an absolute halt. It’ll look like ass but I’d reckon you have a small screen it won’t matter. If all you want is 3d space, it’ll certainly do.

I believe Pedro confirmed in the SimpleRockets Chat Discord server that you will have to create a new save in order to play with the new/remade planets

Figures

I honestly hope the new planets don’t include copy/paste Venus and Mercury with like, lava or smth

Hey you have made your mission to Cylero and I’ve just made my first mission to Duna in KSP. :D What a coincidence.

Nice!
I’d reckon it’s a bit easier, given Duna is a bit less than half of the size of Cylero, but that’s still quite the achievement!

Thanks. Yes, it is... at least to me... I literally spent 12 hours on that single mission. Why? Because everything went the wrong way, right from the start, and because I literally tested every single component on the ship before sending anything to space.

The design for the CDAV Refuel Tanker, which should have enough Δv to haul 49.6 tons of Methalox, enough fuel for 6 CDAV cycles.
AFF0B71D-AC3A-410E-846E-E10D7F832D47.jpeg

This will probably be all of the fuel that will be needed for the lifespan of the next CDAV, named “Retkikunta,” (Expedition II will start a Finnish naming theme.) because I will soon need a more economical way to bring much larger crews to the future surface base.
