While I spent 20 minutes slooooooowly pushing the whale around with a few little burps, the U-tank drifted away... far away... and it has no controller. But... its docking ports are behind the central Frontiers. Time to bring in the Military.

Meet the VF Renegade. Good for fast fights, long flights and breaking expensive Government equipment efficiently. Just the bird for the job.
Screenshot_20200113-163312.png

After a couple of good shots the ports are free and the Bergon can dock to retrieve the many, many tons of precious fuel on board.
Screenshot_20200113-171356.png

Then the tank deorbited itself with 1% fuel left on board. Good job, VF-R.

I would like to say this is the final design, but I'm still designing a better crew quarters.

Why you shoot from only one side? The other machine guns stucked, due to high-G turnings:p?

The Iguana sends the first actual foundation section to orbit.
Screenshot_20200113-225724.png

And a refuel at the station. Also joining is Charlie. These two have never met before.

While the Black takes the twin tank to the Moon.
Screenshot_20200114-043401.png

The nearly empty Surface Drone Fuel Station and the Bergon's drone takes off into orbit and meets the new station for a much needed refuel.
Screenshot_20200114-050130.png

The drone returns to sleep in its idle bay. The SDFS returns.
Screenshot_20200115-110445.png

The foundation builder drone takes a drink...
Screenshot_20200115-120113.png

... commences destruction of the measuring equipment...
Screenshot_20200115-120928.png

... and accidentally destroys itself. Damage is critical, drone must be replaced. Time to send up another shuttle.

Lt. Snakestrike if you would do me the honor and post an image of your bird? I'll bring you an invite.

Here's an old one, but she really hasn't changed since then ;)

Or do you want a newer one perhaps...
Screenshot (30).png

Only 5 pieces so far. I'm barely even started really. Doesn't even have her wings yet :p

SF-20... SE-60... SD-120... SC-175... SB-250... RS-1...
This is a legendary conglomeration of shuttles, bested only by the Discovery, and the previous two SFS 1.4 generations, joining the fray. Historical days for the Forum are sure to follow.

Ok... convoy departure. All but Charlie will leave for Lunar Rendezvous.
SF-20:
Screenshot_20200118-122832.png

Followed by each class larger on the following orbit. The result?
Screenshot_20200118-132656.png

This should be fun to pull into orbit... never mind dock.
Screenshot_20200118-133009.png

First one, no problem. But look higher up...
Screenshot_20200118-133354.png

First encounter set up. But pulling these three in in rapid succession was a bit intense. Just a bit... the real trouble is coming still.
Screenshot_20200118-154951.png

Easy part done. Now, dou you notice, on the following orbit, what is happening?
Screenshot_20200118-155132.png

Those top 3 markers are shuttles. Rushing toward one target station... all at once...
Screenshot_20200118-155542.png
Screenshot_20200118-155542.png

I switched, turned and fired three shuttles in a matter of 20 seconds or so, leaving them all static relative to the station. Seriously guys, I'm not doing it again. The last one shot by the station with less than half a meter of nothing between them. I was expecting an explosion. But, nothing. Any one know the true meaning of "Oh shit!"? I sure do.

The distance to Jupiter, and even Mars or Venus, results in such massive variances that you are unlikely to get a meteor storm rivalling arrival at the target station. But the Moon? Any variance causes a bunch up.

But with Jupiter, rockets sent one or two whole orbits apart can bunch up by those subtle trajectory variations...
Send a dozen or two project parts and there will be nail biter in there, a couple come early and a couple come late, while the middle gets iffy

Right-o, time to start unpacking.
Screenshot_20200118-194931.png
Screenshot_20200118-194931.png

That is our new drone. Say hello to the thing the second.
Screenshot_20200118-205111.png

And that, I thought, was the first foundation section. But alas...
Screenshot_20200118-210048.png

It was wrong on account of being measured in blocks rather than meters. So I smashed it up.

Time to send another shuttle then...
