44 Titans on Stage 1. 16 Titans on Stage 2. 9 Titans on Stage 3. Human rated rocket...
Reached orbit fully fuelled so straight to the Moon then...

This is a heavy beast. Takes 15 minutes to dock....

Back on Earth the refurbishing teams were scurrying about madly to get the old orbiters flight ready and loaded up. It isnt every day they stand responsible for a legend...
Screenshot_20200119-200744.png

They watched awestruck as she climbed the skies, with their hands on their hearts and with tears in their eyes...
Screenshot_20200119-200957.png

The old girl still messes with the hearts of many :D She's gorgeous...
Screenshot_20200120-054828.png

So... the Gecko was a legend long before Amber. The original impossible-breaker, the original Solar Colonisation Shuttle. And named after, and gifted to, the current Emperor.
Screenshot_20200119-224210.png

What a sight...
Screenshot_20200120-012444.png

And then of course, the good Lieutenant :)
Screenshot_20200120-013946.png

We're gonna need more fuel...
Screenshot_20200120-014342.png

On its way, boys!

This truly has become a game of giants.

Everything here just dwarfs my rockets and shuttles. Lol

So far these are all my shuttles, though the good Lieutenant Snakestrike has modified the SCS I gave him to become the Radiant, and the Tenebrous (the one you see here). Tenebrous has become its own shuttle with all its subtle and not-so-subtle changes. Its Ion Arrays are launched separately, and will follow after a fuel delivery or two.

Another behemoth arrives at Earth Station. And about 20 minutes later...
Screenshot_20200120-130639.png

That... looks a whole lot better.
Screenshot_20200120-134035.png

Finally, the point of all these Shuttles arriving in orbit. Let's open that hatch.
Screenshot_20200120-134804.png

So, waddayathinks, ha? Lol...
Before leaving to the surface, let's close the hatch:

Tony, you wanted to see an articulated joint? ;) Locks in the open and closed position too. Ok, onward to the Moon!

Screenshot_20200120-142224.png

Now, the SCSs will bring the next three units.

When I see all the new construction. I feel ridiculous with my airship. I have fun as a 52 year old child with legos :) Now all new constructions are HiTech in SFS. This is great for the future of gaming

The surface station's fuel was quite low by now (as in zero), so got taken along to orbit by our hardworking friend.

After which it returned solo. The drone was awaiting two new loads to drop. Meanwhile we need to prepare for the new arrivals at the lunar congregation of winged spacecraft.

That means MOAR FUEL.
Screenshot_20200121-064219.png

That... tooka a while... the U-tank and the unit it envelopes are emptied and discarded. Now... Amber.

When she arrives, the surface drone takes the cargo, and waits for the next delivery.

Not to be critical, but could save a lot of time making the museum on an orbital station, got a good start there already...
Not to be rushed by 1.5 or anything

MOAAAAAR FUUUUUUUUEL!!!!!

So um, yeah...
200122_083033_rmscr.jpg

No real plan for the shape, just whatever works.
200122_113008_rmscr.jpg

Tenebrous at the Moon. I'm gonna send the ion drive next... sort of got bogged down in replenishing the fuel supply. So far, 9 shuttles, and no end in sight.
200122_131842_rmscr.jpg

Only the one going down this time.
200122_143703_rmscr.jpg

And that is 140m of foundation laid.
