This thread is gonna be where I post stuff that I’m working on that wouldn’t make sense to make a whole thread on, or wouldn’t fit in a thread I’ve already made.

Rn I’m working on a Starship.
It got to orbit with 40% fuel and landed just fine except it wasn’t a suicide burn.

There won’t be much entries into this thread for now cus I’m only working on the Starship right now

Fixed the minor issue of not being able to undock
Also added landing legs and solar panels
They look a bit weird to me though maybe to big or thick? Idk

Finished the starship and superheavy booster
Starship got to orbit and landed, however it didn’t have enough control during reentry so it couldn’t belly flop properly

Clip like 10 or so capsules into the nose of your vehicle. It’ll offset some of the weight of the engines, and provide enough torque to hold a stable reentry. Did this with my build in conjunction with RCS, and it flys like a champ.

Yeah I usually do that as well guess I forgot to clip capsules

I remember in 1.4 when you could use capsules as the heat shield on a space shuttle and land without any kind of propulsion or parachutes.

Yes excuse me, they were talking about capsules and I guess I started thinking about capsules and replaced solar panel’s with capsules. My mistake.

probably soon gonna try and refuel a starship in orbit but the tanker might not have enough to land

I’ve never heard of that. I mean I’ve only been playing since like March last year, and really only started playing more often until like December. SFS back then was more of a time waster on road trips and long flights anyways for me. But I’m surprised I’ve never seen a video or anything about that.

Yep, I got some screenshots somewhere. Basically nosecones were the solar panels before there was solar panels.
